What You Need to Know About Your Child’s Rights to An Education That Meets Her/his Needs

  • The Laurel School 350 9th Avenue San Francisco, CA, 94118 United States (map)

Event Details:

If your child has an IEP and you need to be able to decipher your rights as a parent and are unsure how to, please join us on February 27th at 6:30 PM to share in a presentation from attorney David Tollner who has advocated for many families in the greater bay area who have children with learning differences.

Mr. Tollner brings a unique and valuable background to his special education law practice. After thirteen years as a litigator of general business cases that included many trials, arbitrations and mediations, David took on the challenge of serving as Executive Director of Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE), a large special education school and residential program for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Sunnyvale, California. It was at PACE that David learned the language and process of special education, specifically as it relates to autism and its many treatment methodologies. After PACE, David became the Executive Director of Rebekah Children’s Services (RCS) in Gilroy. RCS treats children with mental health disorders, and its special education school for children with emotional disturbance (ED) was among the best in the valley. David brings his trial experience, unique knowledge of special education process and treatment, and formidable passion to his special education practice that serves families struggling to receive an appropriate education for their children.
